To mark World Theatre Day for Children and Young People, ASSITEJ Luxembourg is proud to take part in this international celebration, championing access to the performing arts for all young people. Under the slogan "Staging the Rights of the Child to Arts and Culture, Today and Every Day", artists, teachers, institutions and theater companies come together to defend every child's right to discover the arts.

This year, we were thrilled to launch the fifth edition of KROP DER EN ATELIER — 51 workshops led by 7 artists, brought directly into Luxembourg's primary and secondary schools from May 4 to 15, 2026. The draw was carried out by cycle and proportionally to demand — find out which cycles were the most curious!

The numbers speak for themselves: 738 classes registered for a chance to win one of the free workshops. This extraordinary response confirms what we have always believed — the performing arts belong in education, at every age.

Building on the success of previous editions, ASSITEJ Luxembourg continues to grow as a key advocate for youth theater. We work to integrate the arts into young people's educational pathways, amplify the voices of artists and teachers, and encourage decision-makers to recognize the vital role of the performing arts in children's cultural, social and emotional development.

Take a child to the theater today, and let's bring the performing arts to school!
