The Kulturhaus Niederanven combines a former manor house, built in 1850 and known as the Thorn House, with a new building, linked by an exhibition gallery and set in a large park. Offered to the municipality by the Thorn family’s descendants in 1998, the house was turned into a centre for art and culture designed by Nico Steinmetz & Arnaud de Meyers. Since opening in 2008, it has been a regional meeting place for everyone curious about creativity and new cultural developments.
