Besides short stories and essays, Olivier Garofalo primarily writes for the theater. His plays, as well as novel and film adaptations, have been staged in Luxembourg, Germany, Poland and USA and have been translated into English, Polish, and Romanian. In 2024, he was nominated for the Retzhofer Drama Prize for Young Audience. In 2025, he received a writers' residency at the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin (LCB). From August 2026, he will be the artistic director at the Mierscher Theater.
